Re: Angelica Teach ( Film style ) Costume Build
Thanks for the info CJS!! Yeah it is quite ... Stiff.
I will do that, but it has to go back for the missing apple heart.

ACME Brand Angelica baldric buckles
I didn't see on Google simply where you ordered this item, is there a link or an e-mail address? thanks
Re: Angelica Teach ( Film style ) Costume Build
You have to ask Richard/Acme. He's on eBay...Acme Brand.
Re: Angelica Teach ( Film style ) Costume Build
The ring for my right index isn't nearly thick enough. It's just one I had laying around, good for later on and my bracelet cross is also just a temp. But yeah, there's my jewelry for tonight :]

That's the one!! Good eye!
I reserved the swarovski one today, when I saw it in person it was a lot less blingy and shiny. I love it, it's a subtle detail and I think it's worth it even though it's not exactly SA

1. Angelica's costume is SO inconsistent in the movie.
2. I AM COMPLETELY PO'ED THAT THEY CUT THE PART ABOUT THE STOLEN RING.
But so excited to wear it all out tomorrow! *_*

I was sad about the ring part, too! Maybe it'll be on the DVD/Blu-Ray? Regardless, I thought it was really, really good and made up for the confusion and jumbledness that was At World's End. And I love the after-credits scene
I think we've all arrived at a very special place. Spiritually, ecumenically, grammatically.

I freaking want a 3 hour extended edition. There was so much from the trailers/script missing. Which always happens but I WANTED MOOOOAAARRRR!
I thought it was good but not great...but maybe 'cause I LOVE AWE and it's the complete opposite. lol
The after credits scene was DEFINITELY the best there's been and I love that it gives the absolute perfect opportunity for Penelope to just be back in the next one. I find they never flow that kind of stuff... she'll just be there and he'll mention that she gave him no choice but to go get her and now she's following him and she'll say she has no choice 'cause he killed her only family etc etc. and then they realize all they want to do is makeout and go on cute piratey rum picnics and go skinny dipping in the sunset......................................................................
I am so sad my necklace didn't get here on time! Off to find a placeholder today... I do love the Swarovski one but I don't love the price of $230 when I'm getting the actual replica for free. Just can't justify that since I wouldn't work the Swarovski one into my wardrobe enough...I can see you rocking it all the time though, Sarah!
SO EXCITED TO WEAR MY HAT TONIGHT!... and the rest. But mostly the hat. XD

Re: Angelica Teach ( Film style ) Costume Build
Well....who doesn't love a good hat? ;] Now you can say, "My effects, PLEASE! And my hat."
But I understand where you're coming from. And I was so happy that they gave her the chance to segue as well--especially since she's seemed to express some interest in doing so (maybe a better costume will come out of it?)!
I can't wait to see your costume all together!!

Re: Angelica Teach ( Film style ) Costume Build
I have a question!! In all the pics of Angelica, I've seen the engraved leather zig-zags on the belt and baldric. However, I haven't come across a photo with the bright gold engravings...could someone point the way? Much obliged!

Re: Angelica Teach ( Film style ) Costume Build
so the tattoo paper turned out to be clear sticker paper... so you just print it out ( not reversed ) and peel and stick... and it looks AWESOME! so real!!! at first i was skeptical but now i see it makes sense... the water-adhesive ones are always shiny... this is a very soft almost foggy, paper thin sticker and it just blends right in. so awesome. XD

Re: Angelica Teach ( Film style ) Costume Build
Sarah, LOVE! You look so so so fantastic!!
I got the tattoo sticker paper from Michaels. It was freakin $16 for one sheet but I got 30 Ange tats and 5 Sparrow tats for Jack onto the one sheet. I can send you a row of 7 if you want as a thanks! I don't think I'll be using all 30 all that quickly. XD
Gratuitous boob shot for purposes of showing how the tattoo looks on:
And some pics of the costume tonight!! I don't know why I felt like going tango style and leaving the vest untied. I think I just really wanted to show the corset and tattoo...even though you can't see it in the photos. BOOO! I did tie it up later on but of course don't have pictures... all the more reason for a good photoshoot once all the updates are done though!
Before leaving...
Venturing in the Falls...yes, that's a T-Rex foot behind me.
Just chillin' at the FoY
It was already falling apart!!! I re-attached the lower jaw... and then this happened.
And finally, CHEERS to all of my fellow mates. Especially us Angelica's who have worked together and came up with some stunning pieces! Congrats ladies! Looking forward to seeing all of the updates and improvements we make as time goes on.

Re: Angelica Teach ( Film style ) Costume Build
Well it's not really up to him to get it right since he's just purchasing, not making it, but anyways...I said over there too, but just in case anyone reads here and not there... he has told me it definitely has a blue tint but the supplier has assured him it is the exact same print and color that was used on screen. Even from the photos of the swatch, you can definitely tell it's not JUST black. Maybe a blackened blue... or a bluish black. But not Black Pearl black. Either way, as long as it's the real deal, I'm good wiv it.

Re: Angelica Teach ( Film style ) Costume Build
Blue isn't green.
Anyways, bPearl graciously allowed me to post these, and share her link (above aelyns post)
>>>Vine Black also called Drop Black, Frankfort Black, Spanish Black, Blue Black.
Various blacks made by burning grape vines, cork and other woods or other vegetable products. Less pure and inferior to Lamp Black. They all are bluish in undertone hence the common name from years past - Blue Black which was just a fancy name for Vine Black. Nowadays colors sold under the Blue Black name are usually mixtures of Ultramarine and Ivory Black.<<<

Re: Angelica Teach ( Film style ) Costume Build
I never said it was green. I said it looked green. Even in my graphic, it was more teal blue than green. Everyone knows the story with the print... not that it matters anyways. Lunesca's is green and red and gold and looks absolutely beautiful. Bpearls is navy and is stunning. Netels is black and also looks gorgeous. It looks different in different pictures and lightings like bpearl said so to each their own on using colours they like.
All of this will be null and void once I get my grubby little hands on the SA stuff anyways, then whoever sees it or buys it can judge for themselves in person. =3

Sounds very reminiscent of the OST Vest thread over at KTTC that got shut down.aelyn000 wrote:I never said it was green. I said it looked green. Even in my graphic, it was more teal blue than green. Everyone knows the story with the print... not that it matters anyways.
Anyways, is anyone embarking on the BLUE frock coat she wears for about -1 minute in the film?
Is it on display anywhere? ...Other than at the DL premiere?
It's really a very pretty coat.
