Thanks Mojo! Though I'd prefer my real name doesn't get thrown out in the open (for future reference). Shadow is my nickname and what I prefer to go by online.
Anyways, hey guys! Finally moseyed my way on over from KTTC where I went by Sweeney. Needless to say I'm a Sweeney cosplayer as well as an Angelica cosplayer. Happy to be here!
Re: Welcome to the Brethren Court
Hello boys and girls... or whatever. After receiving a lovely e-mail notifying my that my account was judged inactive, I figured this would be the opportune moment to introduce myself and prove that I am not, in fact, a sock puppet*. My name is Andrew, I'm 25, and I hail from the far off mystical land of Canada. Now then, I have introduced myself, you all have introduced yourselves, this has been a very good conversation. I think that I will stop there, just in case my account becomes sedentary again and I must once more step from the shadows to reveal myself.
p.s. In the interest of full disclosure, sock puppets creep me out, and I prefer the term "Board Ninja" to "Lurker".
p.p.s. I hope you fine people see the humour in this post, and don't just think me a jerk. I promise to be a good pirate and post more, really I do, please don't smack me with the banhammer and force me back to KttC.
p.p.p.s. (Does this feel long to anyone else?) I do not actually hate KttC, I just find their rules on buying and selling things silly. There, that is definitely enough, I hope that my inaugural post has brought a smile to some faces. Until next time, I bid you all Adieu.

Hi Everyone,
I'm a new Jack Sparrow costumer. I have to say that I love all these people that have the same interest as me. I love Pirates of the Caribbean.
It's great that everybody helps everyone out with helping make that perfect costume that we all love. I look forward to talking to everybody about costume making and also making some new friends along the way.

Hello Captain Jack Sparrow friends
Just joined up, linked to the great Wiki page, great work, I used the pages to help me with my costume mods.
I was offered a CJS costume to wear at a convention, the rest is history!
Lots of things that can be better, as I am sure you see!
Thanks for the add.

Thanks guys, the backdrop is a small village about two miles from my house. We had our one day of fine weather and I didn't want to waste it!

Re: Welcome to the Brethren Court
Ahoy one and all, signed up here awhile back and looks like I was activated ages ago but I have not been able to get on line in a while but found my activation email this morning. I work off shore AL TX LA and don't always have access to computers but will try to get here as often as I can so I don't get my account deleted before I even get started.
I am working on my Jack gear but it is slow goings with so many other hands out for my money for food a house my girlfriend. it seems I hardly ever have any pennies to spare. But that is not going to stop me I am going to try to learn how to make some things and buy only what I absolutely have to and we will see how things go from here.

Re: Welcome to the Brethren Court
Ahoy Fellow scallywags,
My name is Chase, I'm 19 and currently reside in Florida (Pirate country). I've been into costuming and prop making for many years now, and have usually stuck with Star Wars stuff. Being born and raised in Florida I practically grew up in Walt Disney World, and always had a fondness for the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. I'll be doing COTBP Jack since it's a little simpler (and frankly COTBP is my favorite of the 4 films). My goal is to get this finished in time for Megacon in march.
So far my porgress has been:
Finished- compass, palmglove, wristwrap, belt, baldric, wig beads, coins, and reindeer shin bone.
On their way- Indy Magnoli sword, Jedi boots (these will be heavily modified), sash, Indy Magnoli bandana, cheap toy ring.
Have, but not assembled yet- Wig, Shirt, Pants, Waistcoat.
Thanks for this awesome resource and all of the info on it, Hopefully my costume will look as good as everybody's here.

Back from the locker...
Well everyone, it's been a while, but I have returned...
Hope to be back on the boards more often, as I am still "Jacking" around pretty regularly.
Also, I know many of you are out on the West Coast, and I will be moving out there in a few months to LA! Finally!!
