How do,

I've wanted to do a CJS costume since the first movie but not done anything about it until now. It's my mates 40th birthday party on the 20th July and its fancy dress so I thought this is my chance. Well after doing some research I've ended up on here and I'm buzzin! I've bought the costumebase costume for the party but after that its getting turned into a different project.
I've spoke to a couple of guys on here who've given me some good advice

I'm into airsoft and do military simulation games all over the uk and some in europe ( see http://www.tier1militarysimulation.com/intel/ )
I thought Airsoft was addictive but my god this is just as good. I'm already selling some Airsoft stuff to fund my costume.

Anyhow, awesome site, I've learnt a lot in the past month. SmileBeer

Hey guys,

Some of you may remember me from Keep to the Code, The RPF, Brotherhood of the Bat, or The Dented Helmet. I've been around the costuming scene since 2005 or so, and registered on KTTC back in 2007, I think. I put together a Jack costume and never wore it and now I'm back to finally do it right.

Anyways, I'll be posting around here and being a n00b for a bit, but give me time and I'll do fine.

I read more than I post....doesn't show my ignorance as much. Seems as if some of the glimmer is gone as posts are fewer and fewer...guess it's been talked to death.....I'm still working on a firing flintlock that will be accurate....not because I am a "Sparrow"...too old/fat for that...just really like the movies and his pistol in particular.....have gotten the OK from my wife to do some decorating....we decided to do our bed room in Disney...she's into Tigger...so I got the wall over the bed's headboard.....PIRATES! Got up a Sparrow flag, which I plan to redo in a hand stitched version....the MR pistol....have both MR swords to hang up...just deciding how I want my wall to look....will have a shelf with some Hallmark ornaments on it......got an autographed photo also to hang up....will be a busy wall, but it's mine! Laughing

Hopefully a new movie will spark some more discussion on the boards. Was on RPF....was one of several that got ripped off by that Canadian on the recast rubber guns.....that kind of soured me.....done a lot over the net and inside specialized groups and never been ripped, so guess it was time for a wake up call........now I hardly go there as there is just not much to read about...a lot of talent there to be sure, just not much that interests me.

So I hang out here an read, then re-read the posts.......still enjoy it. Thanks for letting me hang out. Razz
