Well if we're talking about the Darcie who made the beads for the Disney castmembers and stuff, wouldn't her buckle theoretically be one of the best? To be honest, I didn't know she even made buckles at all.

yes that Darcie... she didnt have a storefront so a lot of Sith Camaro's stuff were actually made by Darcie. She sold to him wholesale and Sith sold stuff on his website.

Heh, no worries. I do remember seeing that buckle, now that you put it up. I actually like the shape of it a lot, but the detailing and color are rather poor.

I WAS using Tel 5 - it fell off 2x!!!!!!

methinks I shoulda used the skin prep....

Apply the braids when the T5 is still wet and shiny. Allow it to dry by holding the braid in place! It works....no really it does!

it worked fine for ren fest, lasted over 4 hours, but didn't last for the next event. The only thing I did different was I forgot to clean the surface with the skin prep and I might not have cleaned the braids well from the previous use

Looking great, Mojo! The coat fits nicely, completes the Jack look!
The one thing that I'd change is the pants color -- they look too bright and too green to me. I'd go for darker, brown-ish color.

I'm just using some $5 eyelash glue for the braids. Works amazingly well, lasts for MANY DAYS!

Wondering why your pants look mint green?
What dye combo did you use?

no combo.... straight gray on top of existing color. They don't look green in real life.... I actually don't think they look like mint green in the pictures, but they say men are color blind, so who knows.

green as in mint green ice cream, that light faded green color. If you want to redye them, you should totally strip them of all color, then redye them with the grey brown mix. Just remember every time you strip and redye you are breaking down the strength of the fabric and weakening the fibers. They will eventually break down if done too much!

Heh, well for what it's worth, I don't think they look mint green. My only thought is that they might be a bit of a lighter shade than you're looking for. But one way or the other, I think the darned pants are probably the hardest part of the costume to get right, color-wise. I had to dye mine like a million times to finally get them where I was happy with them, and then after wearing them all summer at the renaissance festival they just faded out to gray again. So bugger it. WHEN you get back to Jack, however, a new pair might not be a bad idea, after all those poor things have been through

Haha, fair enough. I don't generally bother with the makeup much, other than the eyeliner and sore, the occasional eyebrow scar, and black spot on the hand. And sometimes scraped knuckles. But beyond that, meh. Unless I'm really pale during the winter and decided to bronze a little. But ultimately I've never cared too terribly much about it.
But you're right, the wig's a pain. Okay, so the pants are abpout the hardest thing to get right, in my opinion, OTHER than the wig, heh. And 'sides, I did say "color wise."
