No doubt I have missed this in the annals of this wonderful forum, but Anthony Z...is he still producing effects? Do we have contact details etc? Always with the questions, I am!

He still is producing effects, but I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. Lack of quality, definitely not worth the priced IMO.Blade Savvy wrote:No doubt I have missed this in the annals of this wonderful forum, but Anthony Z...is he still producing effects? Re: My costume so far
Well Movember has come along at the right moment, and I've decided to grow my own. Only two days in and I've already got a nice covering ........ But ...... My hair colouring is what my hairdresser nicely calls 'antique blonde' i.e. grey, and it looks like my beard is following suit. Anyone know how to temporally recolour a beard?

Done a similar thing myself, so yes! Alternatively, eye liner or Just for Men!

Re: My costume so far
Tons of easy to use hair dyes out there, although I would highly recommend getting it dyed at a proper salon. They'll make sure everything matches properly and is done right. I used a home dye that matches my hair on my head to get rid of the grey (chin hair is mostly grey nowadays), and that crud dyes your skin, the counter top, the tiled floor, and I mean anything it touches... it's a bear to get out as well. Next time I'll just pay the cash and have someone else do it.

Yes, I was drinking pints of lager and glasses of ' rum ' for a good 5 hrs and not once did it run. All I did when I got home I wiped it off with baby wipes. Didn't take the braids off till the following day mind as they were well and truly stuck. Have you sorted out your braids and glue?

Re: My costume so far
Got me braids they are from Wediznut, hope these are okay?, was going to use spirit gum to stick em as getting hold of that stuff you guys use in the states is dead expensive over here.
Didn't want to permanently dyed my mush as I've been grey up top for years and if I suddenly went to work with dark hair, well the laughing would be heard for miles:lol:
Will try the mascara trick when it gets a little longer and see how I get on.

Re: My costume so far
Spirit gum failed miserably for me. I bought a small bottle of liquid latex from a costume shop (dries clear) and I coat the end with liquid latex, wait until it gets tacky, then I squeeze my chin hair around the top of the braid. Holds extremely well and also looks like my hair is braided in. Getting it off is a pain. Hot shower and soap/hair conditioner and working it out. Once you get it separated, while still warm, peel off the leftover latex from the braid carefully.

Go on amazon.co.uk and type in Salon Pro Hair Bonding Glue 1oz. For the perfect hold in hair bonding. I use this after some one on here reccommended it. As for people saying it stinks of fish just ignore it. It works a treat.

Re: My costume so far
Some new photos I just took. I'm missing my compass and my beard is less than a week old and un-dyed at the moment. No make-up as well and still wanting to loose another stone of weight. Also I'm still waiting on my new waistcoat and breeches from Yordreem and my new shirt from Sara but I'm a lot happier with this than the first lot of photos:-

I also grabbed some from amazon and it does stink but only when you first apply it... either I got used to it or it dries and doesn't smell as bad. Either way I wouldn't say it smells fishy but it's definitely an unpleasant odor.Razorwid wrote:Go on amazon.co.uk and type in Salon Pro Hair Bonding Glue 1oz. For the perfect hold in hair bonding. I think the smells ammonia, same sort of stuff that's in hair products. Like perming solution. Your right though. The smells goes straight away.HIGH5orDIE wrote:I also grabbed some from amazon and it does stink but only when you first apply it... either I got used to it or it dries and doesn't smell as bad. Re: My costume so far
First make-up test and beard braids added:-
This was my first make-up test. wanted to keep it subtle to start with. Eyes were hard to do and I added a light application of the dark brown to my face. Would love comments:-
p.s. ignore the weird loopy thing in my wig on the second picture. It was a braid that got looped around another!

Re: My costume so far
Just recieved my new Sara Fay shirt and quite honestly, it's awesome. However it's quite a weird thing. I received this fabulous looking garment, all new and lovely; wore it for a bit.....then took it off and shoved in a pan with tea bags, swabbed it with tea bags in key areas and then sprayed the cuffs with black paint in a water mister to age it.......
Int it weird what we do?
Thanks Sara, love it.

Looks good! Grow that facial hair out! I have the same problem, my real beard is.... uh.... gray. Easy fix -
Mascara brush. I just comb it through and viola - I am young again! Keep posting pics!
