As most of you know as well as the Captain, I also costume for the 501st Star Wars group, more specifically the UK Garrison of the 501st.

http://www.ukgarrison.co.uk/site/

The UKG is unique amongst the 501st in that it also has a non Star Wars section called Reel Icons:-

and my Jack Sparrow is 'cleared' with RI. This Saturday the UKG are trooping at a Wargame convention and I am debuting my Jack there.

Will report on how it all goes.

Just finished my new wig. My first homemade wig was a great learning experience but the actual base wig was too cheap and too short. I'd also buggered up the back by cutting too much off it and the top of the wig just looked a mess. So I bought a new dark brown wavy wig and proceeded to remove all the dreads from my original wig and attach them to my new one. Very happy with the results.

Ok

Need your advice. I have and use my new Yordreems vest for my costume but on my old CB one are Simon Newtons buttons. Would you swap them over?
Pic of the two together, Yordreem on the left with slightly inaccurate buttons and CB on the right with SN buttons.
Is it worth the effort?

It's all totally up to you mate. Depends how SA you really want to be. Nobody will notice it but you.

Yes that's true! Nobody -except you- will notice a difference, because both buttons are really good. Even the yordreem-buttons are "nearly screen accurate" and absolutely usable, too.

I'd leave them the way they are too, unless you really enjoy sewing on buttons. Laughing  No one is ever going to notice.
