'Tis true that the compass is one of the hardest props to find right now. And to be fair, most have a screen accurate costume (or close to it) even down to a real chicken foot and a metal sword - BUT the compass is a plastic toy.

What any of us wouldn't give for a dealer to make a real -screen accurate movie compass

Now, those of you who were not fortunate enough to grab a toy when they were going... are left scrounging through the pirate trash begging for anything. Here's hoping you come across the treasure that ye seek.

There's a guy over at the RPF that's making a run of compasses however, I'm not sure if he's making a second run or not. They look good IMO.

Hmmmm, interesting, i had a message sent to the supplier to put aside 6, for shipping to the UK. No reply. Lancelot Horner is building a set of 10 or 12 compasses from mahogany at the moment, he was after the rings. If anyone wants one of his, drop him a line, I'm certain he can deliver a first class prop.

Im getting these together, they will be an unaltered compass, with the right SA dial, the ring pull attached and the leather strap. I can even offer the black paper seen in my tutorial and I have one remaining gold latch. PM me if you're interested before they get thrown up on the bay

Here is my new one I'm working on now correct color and ring pull it's just cleaner than my old one also I cut out the center dial made a new sum dial and the bottom gold circle is attached to the composs dial itself like in the movie [img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img]

Look what I found! And it's made of wood!! Only problem is you have to order 1000 of them!
I can find the coolest stuff from China, but the minimums ALWAYS kill the deal!
And I think it's just a tad to small.
