Looks really great! I wish I could get my wife to do this costume. She even speaks spanish and could yell at me as an added touch. Can you perhaps do a detailed list of your costume and the sources of materials and such?

Lunesca!!! WOWZERS!! Gorgeously and well put together! You are a perfect Angelica for sure! Congrats!
Did you do the Baldric and Belt yourself? I have never seen another anywhere. Yours is spot on.
Much love

Thank you both!
To answer your question, yes, I made them :] I hand-cut and carved/tooled each piece of leather and I made the conchos and the buckles and such

I am completely lost for words. Wow!! You rock! That is so neat. Could you teach me? I live in San Diego as well. I bet we aren't even that far away from each other. I need a baldric 2 baldrics made. An Angelica's and Captain Jack Sparrow's. Could you show me. If that is too creepy, let me know Lunesca. I'm very easy to get alot with and wouldn't be a problem. Let me know what you think
Thanks
P.S. I don't know any other pirates in my area, unless it's just because I'm not looking in the right places? Who knows.

Ello ello,
Thanks for the compliment! It's not creepy, haha. Unfortunately, I just moved to LA for grad school so I won't be in San Diego all the time ;/

I have been working on my Angelica coat. I still have to cover the buttons.

Love to see your pictures Sparrowed
Angelica's long coat has been described as purple, however in the pictures it looks more blue to me. The fabric I found fits both descriptions as it has a combination of both colour threads woven through it (impossible to find a matching cotton). They did have a much blue version of this fabric in stock, however I thought that this fabric was more suitable.

My coat is finished for the moment (I am debating about redoing the sleeves). The hat in the picture below is the deluxe hat by Disguise, don't you just love the feather.... NOT

So jealous.
I'm finally considering the option of buying fabric & making my own (I saw the licensed one at a Halloween shop and cringed) - already have foldable, flat-soled thigh-high boots & black pants, a passable white shirt, cincher that I can repurpose, and a sewing machine that needs a workout!

Baroness give it a go girl If it doesn't work out, the costume base one on evil bay is much better than the official halloween release and it a reason price.
Also they have a cheap shirt too.
Here is a picture of my vest with a bunch of pirates last Monday.

Re: Angelica Teach ( Film style ) Costume Build
Since I'm new to the sewing thing, I got LOTS of help from my SO's mother while vacationing in NC. Fabric was on clearance during my first-ever trip to Hancock (the closest store to home is 200 miles away), and the pattern was dirt-cheap. Since I have no experience with altering patterns, we found a man's coat I liked and went with it. The collar & cuffs were cut from a velveteen robe that was heading for Goodwill, and underneath is my beloved Ren Faire chemise. I present a first take at a coat, with Angelica's cross from Karmaloop:

Re: Angelica Teach ( Film style ) Costume Build
Greetings!
I know it's been months, but I did indeed get a hasty Angelica kit put together in October. Unfortunately, the photos are garbage - but I did win second place in a costume contest with it. Methinks it's time for a photo shoot now that I'm gainfully unemployed again.
