Check your wigs mates, check um close!
I have had several unused dreads in a small cardboard box as back ups and such, they are the wool type. Anyways I opened the box I had them stored in and found a few small moths some cocoons and a few larvae and some half eaten dreads.
I checked my wigs and they are ok, but they sit out on the top shelf of my closet on maniquin heads and appear to be ok. As a precaution I have added some cedar blocks around them and some bay leaves as I have heard moths do not like either. I have a feeling the moths only attacked the dreads in the box because they like dark places. But do be warned these buggers do like to eat the wool dreads, silk and synthetics too!

my wig is out and breathing, I took her out of the box the moment I got to Texas. And now with August being so close to October.... it's out.
But good advice is - if it is in a box - pull it out at least a week or 2 before you need it. You don't want to find out DAY OF that things are a wreck.

Hmmmmm good idea, but with those greeblies in my wig, me thinks the local birds would eat me alive. Although the sprocket war bead kind of looks like a strawberry froot loop.
