I shaved my chest for the very first time this past weekend. I never expected to do that in my whole life!

But then, I never expected to spend weekends searching through bead stores or ask my wife for eyeliner (guyliner?!) tips, either!

Biggest commitment to Jack for me is making sure, regardless of the state my costume is SA-wise, that I'm always true to the character in voice, mannerisms, and thought process. Like with any character, so long as you resemble the character, people will recognize you, no matter how good or bad it is. What REALLY makes you stand out is your performance AS that character and your commitment to staying in character no matter what. My friends hate me at conventions for it because I never break the character, even when talking about everyday things.

So then the girl at the salon checkout gave me a 20% off next waxing card. I promptly threw it in the trash. Seriously. Not worth it.

I guess one of my biggest acts of dedication is changing every aspect of my personality in order to play Jack.
I am not exactly shy (otherwise I wouldn't do Jack), I'm just kinda quite and like to keep to myself.

While a little on the introverted side of the scale, I wouldn't exactly call myself shy. The nice part about going out and being Jack is that you can lose yourself in the character a bit and dare to try something new. With all of the costume elements on, even people who know you probably wouldn't recognize you. And Mojo, you should have joined me in Anaheim, mate! We could have worked up a Jack-in-the-locker bit.


Also, regarding the tattoo.... I ordered a set from Jonts a few days ago, and they arrived today. Nice guy, super fast shipping, and amazing product. I'll be sporting the tatt all weekend long, trying to get used to the idea!

My biggest commitment is the beard and moustach. to be honest I hate it cus it ages me horribly, people keep telling me I look like I'm in my twenties I'm really wanting to be able to make or purchase a beard and moustach that I can reuse. Looking at costume stores I can honestly sya that I don't like the look of what they have, looks too much like my broom lmao. I've tried using crepe hair and spirit gum but it looks horrible, takes me several hours and just falls off too easy. I've heard they can be made with crepe hair in a way that can be re-used does anyone know how this can be acheaved, I suppose liquid latex is involved somwhere...

Mine is definitely the beard and mustache. I don't dress up as Jack often, so each time I do I grow the beard out and it takes 2 months. I get reeeeaaaal tired of it by the time I put it to use.
