Re: Jack's Teeth tutorial
I know you can get pigmented acrylic powder in gold and silver. I wonder how that would come out?
Great tutorial BTW!

Yea that's right they make that. I'm not sure how metallic it would look but its worth a try. I found the clear worked well for sanding them down to match my teeth because I could see the plastic teeth underneath

Re: Jack's Teeth tutorial
yea you could make those work you just have to sand them down so that they are not sharp at all on the edges

Re: Jack's Teeth tutorial
aye and I do think if you insert a little nail acrylics in them and bite on them for about 5 minutes , you will get snap on teeth just like vampire fangs from scarecrow...

capt.J.j.sparrow wrote:1.) actually quite comfortable.
2.) No eating..... (keeps me weight down though) drink with a straw if at all possible.....keeps the teeth on better
3.) Cut 'em with a pair of sharpened scissors, smaller the better as far as scissors go.
4.) Nope not at all they come of pretty easy, not a big fan of the dental adhesive taste, just my preference, but it's not really that bad...
I have an event as Jack tomorrow, what type of dental adhesive did you use for the nail method?

Re: Jack's Teeth tutorial
So last night I tried the polygrip on the PLASTIC fingernails...didn't hold.
BUT I bought Polygrip strips! Worked like a champ. Stayed on all night, ate, drank (alot) and no issues.

Re: Jack's Teeth tutorial
An FYI about this weekend. Was digging around the old props room and found some custom-make vampire fangs for an old shoot. WITH the plastic you must melt to form the bond. I'm going to split this half, make a tooth mould from blue-tac, stick the fang in then the filler to create the tooth shape. Rest goes into fitting it to my tooth shape. Gold paint then gold fleck packed very tight then paint and shiner with sealer. Should come out nice. will keep y'all updated on my results.

Re: Jack's Teeth tutorial
It's toxic and the teeth will absorb the color might stay in teeth for a while I wouldn't recommend

Re: Jack's Teeth tutorial
Hello all...
I had actual gold "caps" made. Expensive versions of the grillz. They actually take an impression of your teeth.
However I do this full time and not so much as a jack impersonator but a spoof. And as such I juggle , etc. One of the bits is eating an apple while juggling torches and knives...so....
I ended up getting actual gold crowns at the dentist to avoid swallowing the fake ones. I only have two of the most noticeable front teeth so far, as they had already been root canal'd due to injuries as a result of fire eating for too many years.
