OST waistcoat
I assume ACME has sold all of his waistcoats by now, and yordreem is not selling them anymore, so where would one buy an OST waistcoat that is NOT an empire/sith world, or where would one have fabric custom made for a waistcoat to be made.

Re: OST waistcoat
Since the release of OST, I've only seen 3 custom OST vests. The rest were supplied by ACME and YORDREEM.thr33.s3v3n wrote:I assume ACME has sold all of his waistcoats by now, and yordreem is not selling them anymore, so where would one buy an OST waistcoat that is NOT an empire/sith world, or where would one have fabric custom made for a waistcoat to be made.
Have you emailed ACME to see if he has any left? Assumptions won't get you a definitive answer. The way I see it, your options are:
- To do research and DIY.
or
- Check out SM PILLOWFORT TRADING CO on FB.
Good luck with your journey, mate!
Any reason why you don't want Empire's vest?

Re: OST waistcoat
Acme is out
SM pillowfort is non responsive and I don't really like his fabric, if I could get a PDF or something of the pattern to have it custom made then we could get somewhere.
Empire's vest is okay, but the cut of it and pocket placement and whatnot look "off"

Re: OST waistcoat
If Empire sold the front fabric separately that would be awesome
I've been told that it actually is the closest matching front fabric that is available. The fabric does look pretty good

I wish you best of luck on your ost vest journey, thr33.s3v3n!
a couple yards and tackle putting one together myself. He said the last of it was used to make the V.2 vests.
He's all out of the fabric. I was going to orderFleetStreetNightmare wrote:If Empire sold the front fabric separately that would be awesome

Re: OST waistcoat
I've taken the plunge and bought one of the Empire ones. I know they are not perfect but figured that the material is the closest I'm gonna find and once they have gone then where else am I going to find one. I'll replace the buttons with Simons ones and we will see.

Re: OST waistcoat
If I could get a pattern I could have it made on demand, then all you would have to do is go to a tailor or a seamstress and have one made.
I love empires fabric but as mentioned he is all out, the only thing would to buy it and totally re do it, new buttons, new trim, re sew the pockets. Lots of work
What would be cool is to source a place that could make the fabric and then find someone to make the vests. So that sparrows and sparrows to come wouldn't have to worry about finding a vest.

Re: OST waistcoat
If a source could be found that could make a SA vest that won't run out, at a reasonable price, would anybody be interested in buying one?

Re: OST waistcoat
I believe you have a plan, which of course, all this is part of! Depending on cost; postage (and Disney not being upset!) that will be a yes from me.

Re: OST waistcoat
if anybody has photoshop and would like help making the pattern that would be awesome! I would do it myself but I do not own photoshop to do so.
If there is enough interest this could be super cool!!

Re: OST waistcoat
Someone should create a vector file in Adobe Illustrator of the pattern. I think there are certain file types that embroidery machines accept, so if anyone knows what file type needs to be created, then you can create the design and export it as that file. I think someone in The Locker ended up embroidering his own fabric and making the vest that way. I don't remember who it was though.

Re: OST waistcoat
yes, a pattern has been found, now I need to source an embroidery place, and fabric for the vest itself, also the right thread for the embroidery
any help would be great, or input on colors and whatnot

Re: OST waistcoat
Great stuff 3 7. Look forward to hearing more. Unfortunately, don't think I can help with thread. Might have access to reasonable embroiderers but I think my location will have an impact for the majority! Let me know (not sure where you are)
