Re: OST Waistcoat - Cosplay UK
Looking good....
I think, it's way much better with the "darkish" blue and not so "shiny". Just try to weather the whole vest with "Dirty Down" Spray and then it's nearly perfect.
The backside should be changed into some more screen accurate material ... but that should be no prob ...
Great (self) present for x-mas...

I have already ordered some replacement braiding for the button holes, and will be ordering a set of SA buttons from Simon in the new year to replace the ones on the vest. Not sure how to replace the back, my sewing skills are not that good. I think the base colour is okay it just needs some stripes on it. What about drawing some on?

... hm... or just spray it with dark matte black paint and weather it heavily. Maybe a mixture with brown and blsck should darken the backside, so it's more screen accurate and you don't need any stripes.

Looks like the button hole trim is put on backwards on the vest front, and its hard to tell by picture, but is there 5 button hole trims on the pockets yet only 3 buttons?

Yeah, I noticed that as well, odd innit! Anyhoo when I get the new trim I'll sort it.

Nice one Martin. Will be ordering mine shortly. Did you give them any additional measurements? Could you also let me know where you ordered your braid from please - I too will be adjusting to meet Simon's buttons! Send it to me if you want it weathered in the sun!!!
As I said..... nice one!
