Beard glue! Cheap and readily available!
Just a heads up thread!
I've used spirit gum with a Ms. Mazie beard set & then just the dangles with my own facial hair...the stuff is just DREADFUL!
I've also used Telesis 5 by the recommendation of our own UDM and the stuff is great but the bottle doesn't keep well.
So, I was in a bind and found this stuff at a local wig shop and it worked AMAZINGLY!

Latex based............STINKY! Remember with T5 you have to apply your pieces when it is still wet.....as the T5 dries it will be in there for along time!

Anyone know where to get Telesis 5 for a good price? As well as the extra's eg., remover etc?
Hey UM I remember in the past you recommended some other Telesis products to go with the Telesis 5. What were they again, Super Solve or something??...

From the wiki
http://jacksparrowcostuming.wikispaces.com/Beard+and+MakeupWiki wrote:Professional hair pieces go on with Telesis 5 which is the ideal adhesive for laying hair goods. The matting agents are mixed intrinsically during the manufacturing process which ensures a fluid consistency so the adhesive never gets hard or cracks - it dries matte and stays matted. T 5 Matte adhesive is pliable and will move with your face. It is non-flammable, non-toxic and safer than spirit gums and other gum-based, flammable adhesives. This adhesive has been manufactured for professional use and there is a learning curve. To be effective, Telesis 5 Matte adhesive must be used with a Telesis Thinner, preferably Telesis 5 Thinner [Super-Solve].Some costumers suggest using liquid latex to hold the artificial hair in with your real hair.

So which Telesis 5 is the one to get? I've been researching them on the Premiere Products website.
In the 2 oz sizes, the Telesis 5 Silicone Adhesive is $50.00, and the Telesis 5 Silicone Matt Lace Adhesive is $52.50. Which is the correct one to get for applying beard braids to your actual beard??
Thanks all!

T5 Silicone adhesive for attaching beard braids to your own hair
T5 Matte (as it states) for mesh backed prosthetic such as full beard and mustache hair
NO dilution required.
Be sure to get some of the Top Guard for prep to keep oil and sweat from affecting the adhesive.
PPI website explains it really well so it should be straight forward.
Again NO dilution is needed in the adhesive.

<sigh> I've been Jacking around for over 7 years now! Take it from someone who heard it from a girl that does Obi Wan Kenobi for almost 10 years! T5 is the way to go!
