After I get more of my suit finished, I'll be addressing this problem myself. I like the fabric texture of my Costumebase coat, and I've already got new buttons for it that are just waiting to be painted and added. But I wanna alter the coat itself to be more movie accurate. The best way to do this is most probably to cinch it in at the waist. That Youtube tutorial seems the simplest way to accomplish that.
