What to do about my Frock coat Empty What to do about my Frock coat

Hi

I need some advice if you would. I've just got the Costume Base coat, and whilst the fit is good for me, I'm disappointed with the buttons and the button trim (not sure if that's what's it's called). Now should I try to update the frock or buy the costume from jacksparrowcostume.com? If I lived in the US it would be a no brainier but living in the UK I have to add over $97 for postage and taxes.Shocked

Any advice?

Yeah, went that way and very pleased with the coat. The rest of the costume from them is ..... Less good but happy with the coat. I've got some SA buttons and currently adding them as well as sorting out the cuffs and the back.

May do a WIP thread....

Anyone have a new link to the coat because funcostumes.com doesn't have it and jacksparrowcostumes.com is gone!Sad

I disliked the buttons on mine as well and when I went back and looked at the listing I noticed they are different in the picture. Got 20% refund from costumebase :-)

Just discovered a odd thing with my new JSC.com coat. When replacing the buttons with new SA ones I found that at the back the right hand side has the requisite seven buttons but the left hand side only has six.... Now I have the buttons but does anyone know where I can get the braiding from; failing that what to search for on eBay?

I should mention that I'm in the UK and returning it would not be cost effective as I would have to pay for the postage and tax again.

Ta mates
