The Epic Tale of Mojo's Beard...
The Epic Tale of Mojo's Beard...YES my beard.
For the last 18 months I was not able to grow a goatee, and now that I am free of the restrictions of the mouse, I shall be endeavoring to grow out some facial hair and you are all invited with me. Hey, the threads are pretty dead around here, so humor me....
By the way, that is not a BIG Pirate earning, that is a towel ring.

Are you going to be Kevin Costner this Halloween?

Nooooo, you look great Mojo. I do not believe you look old at all. It will be fun to see your progress.....I should add more pics of my project....BF transforms to Captain Jack Sparrow. I told him I would help, but he has to grow the facial hair. I can't help him with that. ....Pictures to come.....

Woohoo! Real face-fur FTW! Congratunations on the liberation, mate!
And... yeah, okay, I actually think you've got a sort of Costner thing going on too, haha. But I'm one of those people who always thought Costner was a lot better than folks gave him credit for, heh.

I grew out my facial hair the longest it's ever been in my life. It works duel purposes for my Imperial German Impression and for Jack.

I've since shaved it off and now growing it back. It's just plain weird to tell you the truth, but I guess everyone does it at some point life.

Re: The Epic Tale of Mojo's Beard...
mojo don't do it think of what this face fuzz stands for! Most of us have some we know the turmoil of the itchiness! Fight it!
Re: The Epic Tale of Mojo's Beard...
Am I really the only guy alive who doesn't find having a beard itchy in the slightest? I'd say stick with it for a bit and let it get a bit longer. Right now you're in the "just-slightly-more-than-stubble" stage, and actually, that can be a little itchy, even I'll admit. But I find that once it gets a tad longer it becomes more bearable.
Re: The Epic Tale of Mojo's Beard...
You will find the beard stubble a little itchy. It will get better once you worn it a while. It will be a lot better than trying to use the face moustache and beard.

May I kindly recommend that you also purchase this Officially Disney licensed merchandise. It is extremely screen accurate!

Re: The Epic Tale of Mojo's Beard...
Hey! It's graduated from "manly stubble" to "actual beard" status, I think!
Re: The Epic Tale of Mojo's Beard...
No problems with mine, except that my mustache and goatee are dark and my beard is almost white

Wedding! I love weddings! Drinks all around!
I have gotten so used to my beard and moustaches they don't bother me at all.

Re: The Epic Tale of Mojo's Beard...
Haha... okay... so funny story. I just shaved off all my facial hair almost two weeks ago. I do it every now and again because I have a tendency to nervously pull at my beard, which inevitably pulls some of it out, and after a long time it starts to get really thin and scraggly. It also gets a lot of split ends, which sounds silly, but is actually really annoying. Anyhow. So I shaved it all off for the first time in a much longer time than I usually go before letting it come back, phoenix-like, from the proverbial ashes. And then I realized I had a Sparrow gig the following Saturday that I had totally forgotten. So I scambled to find myself a false beard and moustache for the first time, and what I ended up with was fairly decent actually, but I couldn't help thinking the whole time how weird it was, and how now I knew what Mojo and everyone else who had to wear false beards to do Jack went through. I wish I had some pictures of the final result, but unfortunately I didn't get any. It definitely didn't look as good as my real beard, but I was still pleased with how well the sort of thrown-together thing worked.
Anyway, back to the Mojo beard-o-meter, heh.

Not to hijack, but out of curiosity which set did you get? I have the Maize set, but am looking for other options as well in case I have to shave. Which I don't at the moment, but you never can tell if you will have to in the future. Not that I anticipate any forced shaving of said mustache and goatee - just that I prefer to be prepared in the event of facial follical reduction...
I now return you to the regular thread.
And Mojo - looking good mate. I have one white patch only on the right side of my goatee, which is annyoing since it's not at all uniform...
