I do hope that when it comes out on DVD this time around they will put the cut scenes back INTO the movie rather than in the Special Features...
By the way - anyone doing the trident scar on Jack's chest? I'm going to have to try it sometime, though I suspect my hair may be a problem.
And no, not shaving it... I'm dedicated, but I have my limits...

One of my friends who went to the midnight showing with me is going to sculpt me a brand, some face nastiness, and the trident scar

Yeah, I definitely suspect there was a lot of the film left on the cutting room floor. Which is a bummer really. I get that they wanted to slim this one down a little, but I feel like we probably missed some fairly important information in there. Perhaps Phillip and Syrena would've been better fleshed out, for instance.
True story
McCool, you remember our gold tooth thread discussing the hard plastic retainer, cut down and painted gold?
On the Tuesday before the premiere, I took my crew of pirates to an advanced screening in full costume. I even wore the gold plastic teeth and used temporary crown bonding to attach it. I neglected to remove the teeth while eating a huge bucket of popcorn and around half way through the bucket, I noticed that my tooth had gone missing. (The thin texture resembled popcorn shells) So I did swallow it, passed it, but will NOT go any further than that. Not my best moment.
