3D Figurine of Me as Captain Jack Sparrow

This past Sunday, I attended my first ever con/expo at C2E2 in Chicago. I went dressed in my Sunday best, of course... Captain Jack Sparrow! One of the coolest things I did there was get a 3D scan of myself by a company the makes 3D figurines from these 3D scans. It's going to take 2-3 weeks before I receive the actual figurine, but when I do, I will definitely post pics. I can't wait to see how this thing turns out.

In the meantime, the company gave me a link to share of the rough 3D scan. It looks better if you blow it up to full-screen mode. Though it looks kind of rough now, they will clean the rendering up before sending it to print production. This thing is going to be frickin' awesome! Although, in true OCD Jack Sparrow impersonator fashion, I am seeing stupid little details here and they that I wish I had known about before having the 3D scan done. For example, too many of my dreads are pushed forward of my shoulder on the left side leaving a big void where the back of my neck shows through. Plus, the end of the right beard braid got cut off in the scan. I'm going to see if there is anything they can do in post-processing to add it back in. Disregard the fact that I'm wearing my baldric with no sword. The sword got confiscated at the expo!
