Baldric Belt length
I have searched for this with no luck. I am making my own baldric, but I have no idea what the length should be for everything. Could someone post up their measurements they used please.
Thanks

Read everything Shylaah has written
"That depends. If you want the pattern to present roughly how it runs across Jack's baldric (even though it will be miror image) then you should get at least 1 1/2 yard because that belt part that comes up the back and over the shoulder is pretty long, average about 42-44 inches, and 40 inches is about all the length you can get from one yard on that 20 degree run. Re: Baldric Belt length
Remember that all Jacks are not alike both in height and girth! If you are lucky like me band about the same height as Depp it is easier to get scale from reference pictures. I'm 5' 10”.
You will need to create your frog first so you can see how it sits on your hip. Next use a length of leather belt blank that will be used for the over the shoulder piece. Attach one end to the frog as it is attached in the movie version. Use Chicago screws so you can dismantle the pieces. Put on your Jack shirt, waistcoat, and frock coat to measure the over the shoulder length to the bitter end. Mark the belt blank but do not cut it.
Next take your second belt blank that will have the buckle on it. Measure the length from the frog to where about the baldric buckle will sit on your chest. You could even temporarily attach the buckle and feed the over the shoulder belt through the buckle.
On my custom made baldric I only use one hole length to adjust the baldric with frock coat and without.
If this is too confusing I guess I can work on a picture.

That works. Im 6'2 so it will be a little longer. Where did you get your material for the binding? I have been searching around for some stuff but have been not sure about the colors I have seen. I dont want to spend a ton of money on this and my colors end up being off.
