Baldric belt attachment

Hello mates,

I've now built myself a second baldric, have to redo the part of it that the scabbard goes through to lengthen it, nevertheless, although it is easy to see how the baldric loops about and attaches via the conchos/Chicago screws, I am still left wondering how the belt, which comes down the front and goes behind the sword, attaches. It is tied with leather, or riveted in place?

I riveted the front belt, which goes behind the sword and attaches to the frog. No one answered, so I just did it.
