Disguise toy sword knock off for $6

Well mates take a look at what I found at my local Party Depot over the weekend:



In the pic it looks smaller due to the angle, but the hilt size and shape is the same as the Disguise sword, but a cheaper plastic. The paint is crappy, and there is no scabbard. However the blade is also of thinner plastic and fits in the scabbard for my real sword.

And they're only $6. After a repaint it should be a good alternative to the Disguise sword.

Yeah I was pretty happy with the find. It also seems that it will be easier to take apart than the Disguise version. I plan to fill the handle with epoxy and bb's for weight, then putty the seams, sand and repaint like I did on my 2 Disguise versions so I have one that looks just like the MR sword, but with a plastic blade I can wear out in public for Halloween. And weighting the handle should give it a better feel in the baldric. The big plus for me was that it fits in the same scabbard as my steel swords, so I don't have to go with a repainted plastic one that came with the Disguise sword.

Great, I wish I could get a $6 plastic sword too... It's hard to get stuff outside the US.
