Is the bandana cut in half,etc?

Any tricks to the bandana? I've always assumed no.

Yeah, I've seen lots of pictures of it done both ways, and while I do think the cut-in-half method can look good in some instances, I always thought it looked like it was just folded in most of the films. Still, there is that odd scene or two where I'll be looking at it and say to myself, "that really looks way too thin to just be folded."
