Might be a bit blue, but didn't think the Abyss pattern looked too bad.....then found out it is only available in Oz...Oh and it's expensive! Bloody Pirates! Smile

Ok. I've got a frock coat. Bought it from another Jack, BUT neither the fabric, nor the buttons or trims are SA. Therefore I want to tailor one myself, since I tailored shirt, waistcoat and breeches myself it can't be that hard.

But now starts the hunt for the right fabric. Does anyone know where to buy a high class fabric nowadays?

@Blade Savvy: I've found the same fabric in a UK-Shop: http://www.bryella.co.uk/products/categories/17-fabrics/brand/6-harlequin/collection/174-omega-fabrics/products/62077-harlequin-omega-fabrics-abyss

It's much cheaper there too. BUT I am living in Austria and it seems, they don't ship outside the UK (maybe I'm just too stupid?). Plus its 52% Acrylic, 46% Polyester, 2% Latex - so even if it looks SA it would always annoy me to know, that it is not a natural fabric.

I would appreciate any help!

Thx!

Plus, as far as I know it's heave ho hard to weather a synthetic fabric. Especially the color.

Does anyone have any clue if someone has got some of the ebony fabric left? I want to tailor my own frock and prefer to do it real Jack style. Any hints are appreciated. =D

I was speaking to Matt last year and he had some ebony raffia. Maybe he still does...
