Dangle ends
I wasn't able to find accurate ends for the dangle so I made some out of clay. Had some issues forming the top ring on my first go around but here is my second attempt.
Added black to simulate a patina and a soda top for size reference

Re: Dangle ends
Hmm do you think it would be possible for someone to take these and cast them in a metal material? I think you should look into doing that, and then selling them as a set to other Jack Sparrows since we all seem to be looking for proper ones

Re: Dangle ends
Trying to buy a house right now and if all goes well I just may have a proper work space for such an endeavour but as it stands, I do not. I did find a guy on etsy with something close (wrong color and top ring is a little small) but it seems too expensive for "close"

Those "dangles" look really top notch for being clay! Good work!

Re: Dangle ends
Yea I've seen those before, not quite close enough for me.
I hope you start selling yours eventually since they look so close

Re: Dangle ends
If anybody wants them in clay, I'd be happy to oblige.
You just have to keep in mind that they are clay and wont 'jingle' like metal would.
But yes I do eventually plan on casting some decent ones for sale per your advice.

Re: Dangle ends
No, from a Turkish dealer, they are the real deal, but gold with gold chain and kind of expensive
5 dangles would run about $30.00
Those on etsy are someone's sculpt and then cast

MWE&D The Adventures of Captain Jack: Authentic Dangle Find
Ahoy mates!
I am posting a detailed account of my journey in finding the ever elusive authentic vintage dangle drops on the wig page, however, I saw this thread as I wanted to share my most recent treasure. It took determination, persistence, and more than a two days journey across the world wide web regions of East Asia to conclude this specific quest. Having opened up multiple correspondences with various dealers of the regions goods, I managed to find one dealer with a small lot of similar examples of the vintage dangles, however, not exact! This, in turn, lead to a flurry of emails which finally resulted in the unearthing of and my commandeering yet another personal treasure in Jack's adventure. The dealer that joined my quest was as excited to inform me about the discovery she made in her personal collection as I was when I finally saw the photos of what she described as "almost exactly like the photo you sent" - needless to say I was absolutely, ear to ear smiles and experienced that rush of energy that comes when you know you have just accomplished something epic - beating the odds, and persevering in the face of adversity! Here's to all of my fellow Pirates who have experienced the same! Let our journeys continue!
The elusive authentic and vintage dangle treasures.
The authentic and unaltered dangle from Afghanistan - The coin is not SA and will be updated and the chains too long, however, I just wanted to take the time to bask in the glory of the find as it is. It is a gorgeous piece in superb condition.
