Pirate Palette makeup before or after applying fake facial hair?
Okay, I have a quick question about makeup but there doesn't seem to be a forum specific to that topic. So, will just post here. I have the Ve Neill's Pirate Palette. Those who use it AND also apply fake facial hair, when do you apply the makeup? Before or after putting on the facial hair?

I put my beard on first - the beard glue should stick to skin and nothing else. You dont want to glue your applications to make-up (of any kind)

Yeah, I kind of figured that. Here's my issue. From studying Jack's face, his facial hair (beard and mustache) isn't very think. Kind of scraggly and on the thin side. So, I tried to lake on a fake beard using human hair and following the Stan Winston video I had watched. It didn't come out to bad. It was sparse and scraggly like Jack's. The problem was when it came time to practice applying my makeup. With the beard being sparse, after the makeup was applied to the rest of the face, you could see my blazingly-white skin through patches in the hair. When I tried to delicately touch up some makeup through the facial hair, it just caused all the facial hair to fall/rip off.
I'm afraid the only way to NOT see my skin through beard and mustache is to apply thicker facial hair. Unfortunately, I don't care for that thick facial hair look. It looks too fake to me. That's why I tried manually laying on facial hair instead of using a lace beard/mustache. I tried that, and it looked so thick and fake; almost cartoonish!
