Capt. Jack Sparrow's Back Tattoo's

Anybody have any good pictures of Capt. Jack's Back tattoos? BF is interested in all of it. As far as I know it is a poem of the Desiderata. He wants to become a member of the BrethrenCourt Forum and is my project. He is getting the Tattoo of the Sparrow on the right arm as am I eventually. We need exact measurements of the sparrow tattoo because we want it to look right. What say you??

Gotta be honest, I never really considered those crazy extensive tattoos to actually be "cannon" for Jack. I always figured they were just a part of his hallucinations; that is, some of the different manifestations of various aspects of Jack's personality were very extensively tattooed, but Jack himself wasn't quite so much. After all, not all of the Locker Jacks actually had all those tattoos. Several who we see with their shirts off clearly only had the "Jack" tattoo, and maybe Johnny's other real tattoos (it's hard to tell), but they definitely did NOT all have the Desiderata.

Am I the only one who feels that way?

I see what you mean Captain McCool. Captain Jack Sparrow's Hallucination is a pretty detailed one at that. Every single Jack in Davy Jones Locker, in Capt. Jack's hallucination, has something different. It is a very interesting scene. Love it! The tattoo'd Jack caught my attention and I've been trying to find some good pictures on it. BF was interested as well in the design and wanted to get some of the tattoo work on his back. He likes it that much. Owie is what I say

Yeah, in all honesty, it's a pretty awesome tattoo. But dang! Talk about extensive! I wouldn't have the nerve to get all that done, haha.

If you look at one of the torso Jacks in the background you can see lack of said tattoo there. (on the rigging on the left)

I've seen a few topics on Jack's Desiderata tattoo, but has anyone managed to match where each part of the text appears on the tattoo? What about the art that goes with it?

I was thinking of drawing out a "flat" version to be printed on parchment or canvas and aged, suitable for framing, etc. What do you think?

Could someone check the extra features on the AWE bonus disk? I found the following photo on-line, which tells me this must be shown more closely in one of the special features:



I only have the film itself, so can't check, but if someone could get some screen shots of the left side and perhaps the bottom area, I think I could do a decent reconstruction. Then I'll hand draw the entire thing, print it on parchment-textured paper and age it. Should make for a great display. Let me know if someone can help!

Great merge, thanks! I've decided to buy the 2-disc version of the film and have a look at the extra features. Hopefully I'll get some more details. Those shots above are helpful though and may be just enough to pull off a decent illustrated version.

Did a bunch of work on this today. I re-positioned all the text (several times!) drew the dolphin border and the "monkey face" (which, lacking any good quality images, I had to creatively extrapolate the details):

So... is there any interest in this (should I bother finishing it any time soon)???

The actual prints on canvas/parchment will likely be around $40 each (shipped). I've talked to a local company that specializes in temp tattoos, but the largest size they can go is A4 (basically a sheet of paper), so the image would have to be broken up into four pieces. A full set (of just the back tattoo, but I could look into doing the arm ones as well) would be around $80 (shipped). The other thing is I'd have to do a run of at least 50 sets. Not sure if there is enough interest for that... Let me know what you guys think.
