Best Jack shirt available?

I've been considering upgrading to a new shirt and I noticed two things:

1. Pauliepoos1 on eBay suddenly doesn't have any shirts available. In fact, she doesn't seem to have any items listed at all!

2. The wiki, or as I like to call it, my Jack Sparrow Bible, has been updated to recommend Yordreem shirts over Pauliepoos. Was this in response to Pauliepoos unavailability, or were there suddenly some quality shifts between the two vendors?


Anybody know what's going on???

let me esplain... no time... let me sum up....

the wiki page is for the waistcoat AND the poet shirt, since I didn't think the shirt needed it's own page, so the recommendation for YORDREEM is for the waistcoat only. Nothing against Scott, I just have never heard as much feedback on his shirts over PP1.

To be honest, I have never seen, touched either, this comes only from the recommendations of others.

I use the PP one ( ) and it deffintly is worth its price. I don't know why she's not offering them anymore though....I think she was working on making pants as well, but I don't know what happened to that project. If they were even a tenth as good as the shirt, I'd still buy them.

Paulette was working very hard several months ago to get her orders done. She may just be taking a break considering her eBay feedback went from 50 to over 450 in a matter of a year! She has been one busy pirate seamstress.

I've got one of Paulette's shirts and to be honest, I would advise against it. I don't know if she's changed her pattern, but I had to special request the correct collar shape, and her linen is extremely heavy and itchy. I haven't seen the other shirts up close, but I definitely want to get a new shirt.

To be honest, I rather like my Pauliepoos1 shirt. Ok, it's not the most comfortable fabric, but it's certainly not the worst. In fact it barely bothers me anymore. The shape, colour and flow are what you're after in this case, and if Paulette is still able to make shirts, I'd recommend getting one through her. Alternatively, I did used to own an old Costumebase shirt, and got quite a bit of use out of it in my early Jack days. You'd need to add the tassles to the collar, and teadye the whole thing for some degree of aging, but it's not a bad shirt either.

I'll throw Sara's (ST Tailoring) hat into the ring. The fabric is pretty much dead on (I should know as I sourced it myself and compared a swatch to the actual one when I was working with her to get mine done) and even I'm happy with the final pattern we came up with, and I'm a fussy b***ard. That said you're relying on her being willing to work in her time off as she's so busy, and you're paying for her tailoring skills so she's not going to be a cheap option

So sorry I disappointed all of you…….my dad had passed & I thought I could keep doing my business… but there was other things besides dad passing……total nightmare. For those of you that didn’t get your items in time next I will cut you a major deal, if you want. Honestly, things have not been the greatest since March & I have been trying & doing my best to make my customers happy.

But I thought if I shared with you mates maybe it would be more understandable…..My year has not got off to a very good start but I know can only get better. I aim to please.

Well it's been 2 months since I placed an order for the shirt and Paulette still has not send the shirt to me , she mailed me last week to say that she will send the shirt on wednsday , and she sended me the tracking number afterwords, so far no response and it has not been mailed out. So I contacted her via etsy and she told me that here sewing machine broke and that she was going to buy a new one today , and will make me a shirt as soon as possible, one thing bothers me , she told me she had it finished and have it mailed out wednsday but now it looks like she does not even started on the shirt yet...... I want to know what you mates think about this cause I'm thinking about cancelling my order... cheers!

Again mate give her some time. I don't believe she is lying if that is what you think or if she is making up excuses. Give her the benefit of the doubt because I can tell you she has bent over backwards for all the items I have ever ordered from he in the past. And like she said if you want a full refund she understands.

I don't think you will find a better quality shirt at a very affordable price.

Just PM her on Facebook or Etsy and let her know what you want to do. I am sure she will come to an agreement.

She has had a very rough year but she still pushes on!!! She told me a few weeks ago that she doesn't want to give up her business because she is having fun with it and loves seeing everyone wearing her wares!

No she said that she would send me the tracking number when it's been shipped, and the status on Etsy is unshipped...

I'm in the same boat. Ordered on the 18th of May and have had two messages stating a tracking number is on its way...no number or shirt. I'm in no hurry and have no deadline other than 31 October at the latest, so it's not that big of a deal for me, but give yourself a few months if you want to go through her.
