So since most of you wore a varying version of the costume - did that carry over into the compass and guns as well? How often did you have the same pistols? Were they heavy wood, or cast resin?

Could your compass open, or was it a prop?

Was your chicken foot and belt trinkets real, or cast resin?

Heck, was your sword even real?

I am curious how much of your "effects" would have held up under scrutiny, or if they were for "appearances" only

Thanks in advance,

I asked Cristian about the chicken foot and I think even the hero one was rubber.

for safety reasons, everything was Rubber. of course casted from the original and painted just as the real ones. even the "banjara " tassel was rubber.

yeah, everything rubber.
i was curious about that, so i asked the stunt double if i can check his costume, and it was the same like mine. ( even the coins.. rubber !)
i think they got just few real items around, and they cast everything and make few for all the costumes. MOVIE MAGIC!..
nobody notice that when you see the movies.

As I've mentioned before I had the real, original guns for a couple of shots. I'd like to say it was because it was a vitally important scene, but I think it was because all the stunt guns were being used elsewhere. Everything else was pretty much rubber - the chicken foot used to have to get topped up with black paint on more than one occasion. If you're wearing the costume in public you have to remember that you shouldn't always compare to the film props as they're made for a different audience.
