Have admired your costume since I first joined but never noticed how clean it is. That shirt is bright white!

It is actually not that clean in person, and is in fact made from an off white muslin fabric, has tea staining around the cuffs, neckline and shoulders. I think a lot of its brightness has to do with my friends camera that has a dramatic setting and how bright an area the festival is held in, no shade at all anywhere, unless you pop into a tent. The dramatic setting brightens the highlights, and compresses the shadow details, he uses it on 99% of the stuff he shoots.
I did wash my shirt the first evening of the festival because some woman got lipstick on the collar, and some of its tea stain lightened, but its still visible in person. My breeched are brand new, and ever so slightly weathered. My COTBP, and AWE versions are really dirty, and in watching OST, Jack is not as dirty looking as in past films.
His shirt looks really white here
But yes, these pics make me look pretty clean.

One of my favorite parts of attending the Pirate Festival and being a member of the Tales of the Seven Seas reenactor is just hanging our in our encampment.
It is an actual living history display that shows guests at the festival what it might have been like living in the 1700's as a pirate!
