Queen Anne Flintlock
Now that I'm also putting a OST costume together I need a second pistol. I have looked for a Queen Anne pistol but come up wanting. What do others use as their second pistol.
I have seen the kit that's the wiki mentions but way too expensive.
Was toying with getting this one

Was going to remove the gold metal bit at the end and saw the wooden stock to be shorter. Then spray the metal dirty silver? What do you think?

Another option would be to use this:-
http://www.baytree-interiors.co.uk/replica-militaria/denix-replica-guns-pre-1870-pistols-revolvers-and-rifles/bunney-pocket-pistol-18th-century.html
and to somehow see if the barrel could be extended. Anyone know how to achieve this?

Hi Martin,
I think, the second pistol should be the better choice. Shape and form seem to be closer to the original flintlock pistol.
And after all, you donĀ“t have to modify too much.

M,
Is not one of their other 'French' flintlocks a closer match?

The bunney pocket pistol is extremely small. You can conceal the entire pistol under your hand

This is a possibility, but its no box lock,
I don't think you could remove the butt cap, because the wood looking parts are actually resin made to look like wood.

Nice flintlock pistol. What about the barrel? Can't see it on that picture...

Yes Martin, looking great. You used a saw and took away some wood underneath the barrel?

Re: Queen Anne Flintlock
Was going to mate, but I just removed the gold metal thing that was on the original and left it at that. Quick spray and voila. Did think about taking more wood away but like a lot of Denix's the barrel is not a complete tube all the way down and is cut at the bottom just beyond where the wood stops so I left it.

Yes indeed, seems to be the better solution after all. The colour of the wood is great. Maybe you could weather the silvery parts still a little bit. Using matte-black acrylic paint which is diluted with water... only a suggestion not meant as criticism mate... ;-)

They are quite weathered, I think the flash didn't show it up as well.

Yeah that's possibly the explanation.
And the butt cap is weathered, too? Especially this part looks very clean and shiny...

I bet THIS could be modded to resemble the Queen Anne.

I had a go at making one. Whilst no where near perfect I think it passes casual muster....
