Hi
Does anyone have this baldric?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/jack-sparrow-belt-baldric-buckle-version-1-costume-blet-/221095664420?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item337a541b24
What do you think of it?
Can you post some pics of it please?
Thanks!

Re: empire baldric
Sorry bud, I do have an Empire Baldric, but I have the full leather one. I did toy with the one you mention as the leather one is technically the OST one with the paisley pattern and I would have preferred the plain one, but my experience of pleather has not been that great. would also love to see if anyone has this one and what their thoughts on it are.

True, however the pleather one would need the correct Chicago screws and that's an extra $50. Also with the leather one you also get a 'free' Sash worth $50, so all in all its not that much more expensive when compared to the pleather one

Re: empire baldric
Have you seen this one, no idea of quality but it does seem to have more accurate conchos.

Re: empire baldric
As far as I know the DMC/AWE baldric also has the paisley pattern on it. So if you're going for DMC/AWE or OST the paisley print should be there. I do think that the french binding and color of the baldrics differ between DMC/AWE-OST though, but I could be wrong about that. Tommy Skarbek I think has information on that (Capt.Cristian here and ButtonIt would know too).
Bicas, I personally wouldn't go for Empire's non-leather baldric. I've seen a couple in person and they don't look that great to me. I don't think that next one that was posted looked great either. It is little better than Empire's non-leather one because it does include the accurate-looking conchos, but it would probably be best for you to go with Empire's OST baldric or one from ACME. JAT makes good baldrics too.

Re: empire baldric
i had seen that baldric. The buckle seems the same from empire, the conchos look good, but i think the material is Pleather, like the other from empire. I think the only diffenrence here seems to be the width of the belt.this one is larger and occupies the entire buckle space.
Re: empire baldric
I bought this baldric last summer along with the Chicago Screw Conchos. Yes, it is pleather, but it's rather nice. I like it well enough. Well, enough to not feel it is necessary to spend the money on the full leather version at this time. My only problem, and it has nothing to do with the quality of the baldric, is that it is the DMC version of the baldric and buckle. I'm going for the COTBP Jack. So, it is the wrong color "leather" and it has the wrong buckle. However, at least it doesn't have the paisley design. Plus, I ordered the COTBP buckle from ACME a couple days ago. So, once I get that, it should look good enough.
With the upgrade to the Chicago Star Conchos, it looks pretty decent. I like it. But, yeah, I would like a real leather SA version some day.

Re: empire baldric
The DMC/AWE and OST baldrics don't vary hugely, but there's a subtle difference in colour, probably due to the source of the patterned leather. The DMC one is a little more reddish brown I think.
But if you keep an eye peeled I heard next week there will soon a new source for a much more accurate buckle and conchos than any of the others that are currently available, along with the full leather embossed baldric...
