"Best" rings
Okay so we've got Skinny, NC, MR, Acme, and more.
As far as rings goes, what are your opinions on the most SA rings?
I remember a while back I was going to take the stone from my Noble skull ring and put it on my MR ring to make it more accurate.

Re: "Best" rings
I've got the Skinny Dog skull ring, MR flower and dragon rings, and Costume Base stolen ring. I LOVE the skull and flower rings, am mostly satisfied with the stolen ring, and barely tolerate the dragon ring.
I remember hearing Skinny Dog was going to start selling all of the rings at Disneyland again. I keep checking whenever I go, but haven't seen anything yet. Anybody have any ideas when they'll show up?
I needs me swag!!!

Re: "Best" rings
I thought that skinny Dog did the best skull/emerald ring, stolen and dragon but I love ACME's stolen and dragon too. I had the skinny dog emerald but that was stolen, so was replaced with a MR which then broke i.e. stone fell off lol
The MR button has been my best and has really taken to being 'worn in' for a year.

Re: "Best" rings
Yeah, the rings are tough.
Right now I own a knockoff skull ring from Badali Jewelry. ( http://www.badalijewelry.com/images7/pirate06067.jpg )
I actually REALLY like it. It's sterling silver with a green cubic zerconia for the stone, and although the actual design is very slightly different from Jack's actual ring (they didn't get the official license like they hoped, so they had to add the crossed bones, but that's basically the only change) I could not be more happy with it.
And really, that's the only ring I own that I actually love.
The rest I got from costumebase, and... well... they're costumebase rings. The "stolen" ring is probably the best. Plain, simple, but workable (though perhaps slightly too large). I really liked the dragon ring, but it was made of copper with this really black patina, and eventually the patina wore off, and I was left with a copper ring (which naturally turned my finger green constantly). Furthermore, the copper clearly had flaws, because now the band is breaking in two places. Finally, the flower ring I think looks pretty good (although it is also too bulky), but it only came in a size FREAKIN' HUGE. Currently I have an Irish Claddagh style ring that fits my left ring finger, and it just happens to snap perfectly INSIDE the flower ring. But it tends to come off and slide around. I just need a gorram flower ring that fits.
And all that being said, I REALLY REALLY REALLY need a new dragon ring! If anyone here knows where to get one for cheap, I'd be much obliged! I'm hoping D-Land starts selling the Skinny Dog ones bloody soon, because I've got to get myself a replacement!

Re: "Best" rings
I have a Nobel Collection Skull & Flower. The Skull ring is great, sterling, accurate, and a good size. The Flower on the other hand is 24K and perfect EXCEPT it's too bloody small. Jack's is a rather huge flower, I'll be returning the Nobel Flower Ring and buying an ACME Flower. I have an ACME Stolen ring and it's spot on in every way. My Dragon ring is a Costumebase and a big POS. I'll be ordering an ACME for this replacement as well. But if Richard doesn't cast these rings and the Skinny Dogs at D Land look good and are the right size, I may buy them. I have to wait and see. Hands down Richard's rings are IMHO the best!
Maybe we can get him to do a group buy for a discount? Anyone game?

I am going Wednesday with high expectations....
As far as what is "SA" I think Savvy might have some interesting input, I know he has a lot of them. So does BITL, I'd be interested in what they said.
FOR "SA" in my opinion
Skull - Noble
Dragon - SD
Stolen - Costume Base
Flower - Master Replica

Re: "Best" rings
The Skinny Dog site is frustrating.... they don't have any pics of their stuff.
I noticed when I bought my skull ring at Disneyland that they came in all different sizes, so I'm hopeful that the others will as well. My dragon ring miraculously fits on my thumb, but only when I put it on sideways and "screw" it down into place.

That's how we all do it. And Yes, I am assuming they will have sizes for all the rings. I am replacing my button and stolen with new SD when they arrive. Here is all my treasure...
Re: "Best" rings
Haha, you're right. It totally IS how we all do it.
Darn you Skinny Dog, why isn't your stuff at Disneyland yet????

Re: "Best" rings
Mojo, I'm DROOLING over that dragon ring of yours, and can't wait to get me grubby mitts on one of my own!
Question for you, though. I thought the MR flower ring was generally considered the most accurate out there. Do you think the Skinny Dog ring will be better?

Re: "Best" rings
Whose rings are these?
They are on ebay, but the seller doesn't say who they came from? I am guessing CB

Re: "Best" rings
The Costume Base rings are what I originally bought because they were cheap, in both senses of the word.......CHEAP! Not accurate either, but a good bang for the buck indeed.
